Our company delivered two earthquake resistant transformers TMN-4000/35 N1 production JSC "Kentau transformer plant" for JSC "Irkutskenergo", SS 35/6 kV "Shahta".

The substation is located in a seismically active zone of the Baikal rift and supplies electricity to "Tulungol" Gulch — the branch office of the company "Vostsibugol". In connection with the increased number of earthquakes (only 1 on 8 January 2013, according to the Baikal branch of geophysical service, there were seven), the main requirement for purchased equipment from the customer was the seismic resistance of up to 9 points on the MSK-64 scale.

The transformers were made by specialists of JSC "KTZ" with regard to these requirements.

LLC "Vostsibugol" is a subsidiary of JSC "Irkutskenergo", as well as a major manufacturer and supplier of thermal coal in the Irkutsk region, so reliable and uninterrupted supply of his business is of strategic importance not only for management but also for the regional government.

This is not the first shipment of the earthquake resistant transformers for the mining industry. Previously our company were delivered seismic transformers for SS 35/6 kV "Tungor".
